Fund raising

Our troop is fortunate to have a fantastic fundraising activity – Christmas Tree sales. With a few weeks of focused effort from the entire troop, we are able to raise enough money to cover a significant portion of our camping trips, summer camp, and other troop activities.

We obtain permits to cut trees from the local national forest and sell them for approximately two weeks, starting right after Thanksgiving and continuing until December 24 (or until we run out).

Each family typically contributes by working about five half-day shifts, plus one day of tree cutting.
