Every year, Scouting America Troop 266 hosts its highly anticipated Christmas Tree Sale, a tradition that brings the community together in the spirit of the holidays. During this event, our scouts head into the forest to hand-cut 300 beautiful, fresh Christmas trees. Each tree is carefully selected and harvested by the scouts themselves, teaching them valuable lessons in teamwork, responsibility, and respect for nature. This hands-on experience is a hallmark of our troop, allowing young scouts to engage directly with the environment while preparing for the festive season.

Once the trees are harvested, we bring them back to our sale location, where families can choose their perfect Christmas tree. To make decorating even easier, we offer free wooden X-shaped tree bases with every tree, ensuring that each tree stands sturdy and ready for holiday festivities. The Christmas Tree Sale not only supports our troop’s programs but also strengthens our connection with the community, giving families a chance to enjoy a locally sourced, handcrafted Christmas experience while supporting youth development.
